Biography

Abu Al Naeem

Artist & Printmaker

03 November 1999, Dhaka, Bangladesh

I am an artist whose work explores printmaking (woodcut, etching, lithography) and painting (pen, pencil, acrylic, poster, watercolor, etc.). Born in Narsingdi near Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, I have always been captivated by the power of visual language to express emotion, narrative, and meaning.

From a young age, I was drawn to art, and over time, I honed my skills by completing my BFA and MFA degrees from the Department of Printmaking, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. My practice continues to evolve through experimentation with techniques and mediums, allowing me to approach my work from multiple perspectives.

My art reflects human emotions and the masculine ego. I explore light, texture, and movement, aiming to create works that invite deeper dialogue—between the viewer and the artwork, and within the viewer themselves. I seek to challenge both technical and conceptual boundaries.

I have exhibited my work in galleries, exhibitions, and art fairs both locally and internationally.
