Biography

Abu Al Naeem

Artist & Printmaker

03 November 1999, Dhaka, Bangladesh

I am an artist whose work explores printmaking (woodcut, etching, lithography), Painting (pen, pencil, acrylic, poster, watercolor etc). Born in Narsingdi near Dhaka the capital city of Bangladesh. I’ve always been captivated by the power of visual language to express emotion, narrative, and meaning. From a young age, I was drawn to art, and over time, I honed my skills through completing my BFA & MFA degrees from Department of Printmaking, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka. My practice has evolved as I’ve continued to experiment with new techniques and mediums, which allows me to approach my work from multiple perspectives.

My art reflects the human emotions and masculine ego. I often explore light, texture, movement, etc., and my goal is to create pieces that invite the viewer into a deeper dialogue—whether with the work itself, or with the emotions and stories I’m trying to convey. Through my art, I seek to engage and challenge those who encounter it, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible both in technique and in meaning.

I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting my work in galleries, exhibitions, art fairs, etc.
